A Lawyer and head of the Corporate Law Department of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) and wife Hon Samuel Abdulai Jinapor who is the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Naada Jinapor has encouraged women not to settle for less but aspire for great things in life and believe they too can achieve whatever goal they set their eyes on.
Speaking at the maiden edition of the Gutsy women foundation conference under the theme, “Inspiring Inclusion: The State of Today’s Woman”, Lawyer Naada Jinapor who was one of the keynote speakers said that it is not a crime for women to be ambitious adding it might not easy but they should bear in mind that it is no impossible.
She further challenged the participants mostly young ladies studying at the University of Ghana, not let anyone or anything including motherhood prevent them from being bold enough to aspire for greater things as a woman because as long as they live, their dreams remain valid and not let the negative things they hear discourage them because nothing is impossible to achieve.
Lawyer Naada Jinapor also said that, it is up to women to change the narrative of how society perceives women to be the weaker link and as their own enemies.
Some distinguished personalities that graced the event to speak with the ladies at the event included the Minister of Information designate, Hon Fatima Abubakar, the Deputy National Women Organizer of the NPP, Miriam Awurama Duah, Actress Benedicta Gafah, and a host of other serial entrepreneurs and women in Leadership positions.
The founder and CEO of the Gutsy Women Foundation Raynelle Nana Yaa Boadu, said the Gutsy Women’s Foundation Conference sought to bring together women from diverse backgrounds, ages, and professions and serve as a platform for networking, personal growth, and empowerment through thought-provoking sessions, workshops, and panel discussions led by influential speakers in all fields.
She further indicated that the conference will become a frequent event so as to equip women with the tools they need to thrive personally, professionally, and psychologically as well as raise awareness concerning women’s rights, promote gender equity, and increase women’s participation in economic and democratic processes.
